Dr. Lauren Sanders Clark

PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
Grew up in Kingsport, TN, where I went to Sullivan South High School. After graduation, I moved to Chattanooga, TN, where I attended UTC for 7 years for both undergraduate and graduate school. During my time there, I volunteered/interned with a physical therapist specializing in hippotherapy. During the summers, I went back home and worked on a rescue horse farm to learn more about the care and maintenance of horses. My senior year of undergraduate, I also spent part of the summer at the barn where I took riding lessons, serving as a camp director for their farm and nature camp for a week. In my time at school, I completed 4 clinicals, including 2 outpatient settings, pediatric, and acute care. Before starting physical therapy school, I spent over 250 hours shadowing in hippotherapy and pediatrics, as well as some time in outpatient and sports physical therapy.

Core Values: Compassion, honesty, kindness, respect, integrity, and faith.

Favorite Quote:

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

For patients that feel they have lost their ability to engage in their favorite activities and hobbies, I want to help them overcome that obstacle and return to the things that bring them happiness and joy.

Lots of time spent with the pediatric population, as well as people interested in returning to horseback riding, tennis, and volleyball.

I enjoy treating returning to sport, balance and falls, and pediatric developmental delay.

I love working here because I love the wide variety of different conditions and diagnoses that bring people in, boosting my creativity for treatments. With our one-on-one treatment sessions, it also allows me to get to know my patients better and truly find the best treatment and personalized plan of care for them.
